Volunteering

The American Humanics Student Association (AHSA) at Western Michigan University (WMU) won a national award from American Humanics, the 2008 American Humanics Community Service and Volunteerism Award. The award was given at the American Humanics Management Institute in Kansas City on January 5, 2008. Nineteen WMU students traveled to Kansas City for the annual American Humanics Management Institute. Seventy-five (75) campuses across the United States competed for this award.

AHSA hours in the 08-09 academic year AHSA volunteered 1190 hours as a group (this does not include either students individual volunteer projects or their 300 hour internships).
